President's Message

Happy new year wishes to all our respected IDA Dakshina Kannada members!.At the outset, I would like to profousely thank all our dear IDA members for entrusting me with the responsibility of president, IDA, D.K branch. It is Indeed a very overwhelming moment for me, to take over as the president of IDA D.K branch, a branch which is not only one of the oldest in the country but also one of the most prestigious which is evident from the array of accolades, awards & recognition it has been consistently garnering over the years. I would be failing in my duties if I do not mention the stupendous role of all the past office bearers & IDA members who have been the pillars on which the strong foundation of IDA D.K branch stands today so magnificently. Apart from continuing with our well established and well received activities, me and my wonderfully talented team of office bearers for 2023 have some new activities lined up for all our members which includes the incorporation of a few innovative hands on programmes, panel discussions, interactive case discussions & Interdisciplinary CDEs. We also want to restart some good initiatives which were in practice for both the undergraduates & postgraduates before the pandemic including research funding by IDA for student members & an exclusive student conclave wherein there will be paper & poster presentations, quizzes, collage competitions and an array of other competitive programmes. The goal is to not only impart the latest and the maximum knowledge but also ensure naximum participation which my dear friends is only possible with your wholehearted support. A famous thinker once said and i quote-'Coming together is the beginning...being together is progress but it's working together that ensures success'. The unity within IDA D.K branch is definitely our greatest strength and it shall only get stronger with time. Once again, I would like to thank one & all for entrusting me with this responsibility and I assure you the best of my capabilities at all times. Wish you all a wonderful year ahead.
